The goal of the Family & Consumer Sciences Program is to improve the quality of life for individuals and families. We address the challenges of critical issues affecting people's daily lives in a changing environment. Programs focus on economic, social and physical well-being of our clients. We strengthen personal and family relationships, encourage healthful choices, and identify resources to extend income.

Hi. My name is Brittany Bowling. I am the new FCS agent here in Leslie County. I was raised in London, KY right on the Clay county line. I am newly married and I have 2 dogs.

I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2013 with a degree in Child and Family studies after doing an internship at the Laurel County cooperative extension office. My emphasis areas are nutrition, financial education, and child development and famiy dynamics.
After college I moved to Hawaii and worked in a Non-profit agency working with preschool age kids in a variety of settings, I also worked at a Child Development Center on an Army base while I was there.

I moved back to London in March of Last year and started working for a mental health company as a case manager.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you in the near future. Please do not hesitate to contact me at or call 672-2154 with any questions you have and any ideas for programs you would like to see our extension service offer.
