Event Description

Farmer's Market season is upon us! Do you want to improve the branding of your farm / forest products? Join us on April 22nd at the Leslie County Agricultural Extension Office from 6:00 - 7:30 PM to find out how! This is a FREE workshop!

Sharon Spencer, Director of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture's Direct Farm Marketing Division, will be covering the marketing programs at KDA with the KY Proud program, the Appalachia Proud Program, and also several programs from Agritourism to farmers’ markets. She will also cover the benefits of value-added products that include home based processing, home based micro-processing, and the differences between each.

Michelle Brock, Leslie County Agricultural Extension Agent, will also be speaking about the "Homegrown by Heroes" program, a branding initiative to promote produce grown by veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
